Very easy going and sweet gets along with the other horses (even my stallion). He is a very flashy mover and would be great at driving and all around show horse. He ia around 31″. Dont miss out in this great colt.”

Adding to the list of horses that look like other animals; poodle!
Oh… my goodness… that poor thing. Even on an Arabian, that bridle path would look too big…
And… why does it have tassels around its neck? I’m so confused, are they trying to make it out to be a mini Arab or something?
lol I just assumed that his was special necklace. Made him feel free for his photo op!
OH…MY…GAWDS… Why… Just why…
They might as well just go ahead and Roach it…
they did i think??
Reminds me alot of my paint. She looks almost like that but is longer legged. She is a very sweet loving horse that I rescued. I would never dream of her being anything but my baby. No.Breeding, showing and all that other is out and maybe other people out there should realize that about their horses too.Just because we love our horses and think they are the cutest don’t mean they make the cut for anything but a sweet riding horse.
That poor guy has NO muscle…..did they shave it off? And he has a very bad head for a mini. They usually have the cutest little dish faces. He almost looks stunted, and that would be hard to do on a mini……
If you have ever been to a miniature horse show they are all clipped like this including the extreme bridle path..Weird but the norm.
Not THAT extreme. It goes back further but not that far back on their necks.
Yes miniature horses are normally shown with a full body clip. Supposedly to help them not to look so shaggy and “pony-ish”, or so I was told. Whatever….my boy shed out wonderfully every spring and we would only clip if we were going to a District or State 4H Show. Otherwise a bath and a trim (bridle path, fetlocks, whiskers, etc.) and a good old fashioned grooming would make him look real sharp. And yes the mane is way too far back, even for the Arab type of mini. I’m assuming these folks fancy him to be an Arab type mini. And yes, this little guy has EXTREME poor conformation.
When I went to look at an Arabian for sale. just as I walked in the barn door, the seller had just finished roaching off all her long mane. It all lay in a sad pile on the ground. I was like. “What were you thinking?”
I think that WTF bridle path is making his poor conformation look even worse.
They trim back a long bridle path to give them teh appearence of a long neck. I don’t wonder if this poor little guy wouldnt look heaps better with a shit ton of weight and muscle put on him? He might not look so awkward.
Holy smokes, I thought his mane was just on the opposite side of his neck, not clipped all the way off!!!
Could they have at least started at the poll to clip the bridlepath, rather than 2 inches or more behind the ears?? Looks like the poor little fella has a pom-pom between his ears! Then the crown of the halter could be put where it belongs, behind the ears. Clipping is supposed to HELP improve the looks, not make them look worse! I really hate to burst some people’s bubble. But, if you clip the bridle path an ear length, then thin the mane from underneath, use a wet brush to make it lay flat, THAT will make a horse or pony’s neck look LONGER!!! Or if your horse has a ewe neck, leave the center of the mane a little thicker to “fill” it out. Although more groceries and a round of de-worming would be my first option of filling him out. It really irritates me how few people know how to groom a horse properly. Also, use a wet brush to flatten the top of that fuzzy tail down. My horse is more well groomed to go to work, than horses I’ve seen going into the show ring. This means I know where each little bump, scrape, nick and missing hair is! Lack of grooming skills is a MAJOR pet peeve of mine. I find it amazing how proper grooming can enhance a horse’s good spots or hide his weak spots, yet so few people know how to do it. Its not rocket science. Its cheap. Although it does require some elbow grease, which may be the problem.
ok i have been quietly “stalking” this site for about 6months but REALLY?? ive seen it too often, a little here, a little there, step back, look, nope a little more, well that doesnt look even now sooo, alittle more here, stand back, well NOW its crooked, and so on. BUT i cant believe noone commented on the halter!! ok after you get wormy, ewe necked, over trimmed, Fluffy ready, oh yeah, put his jewelry on ready for his glamour shots.(hours im sure)because by then he has magically grown percheron size,(work wise) you cant manage to put a teeny-tiny halter on properly!!!??WTF once again, then it was, or should have been time to stand back, look, and then flyspray the poor bastard, feed him, and GO home then write your craigslist ad sans pictures .surprise them, if they fall for your ad……
